i used

i used to have a blog. i was on xanga in ‘04. i [virtually] met a bunch of great people on that platform. talked with several of them - others helped amy and i through some really difficult times, i hired this guy as a contractor for my company at the time and even had one come stay with us on her cross-country journey. it was rare for us to post pictures or video or music on a daily basis - we actually wrote about what we were thinking. amy and i would of course always compete to have the better blog post of the day, and the back and forth commenting on everyone’s blogs was more cohesive than pretty much anything else i’ve seen since. it was a great community.

i’ve realized (sadly) that this sort of community doesn’t really exist on tumblr, and i’m usually just reblogging recycling stuff that i think is cool or inspirational or funny. very little of the content on my tumblr, which is my namesake website, is original anymore.

i hope to change that in the near future.

i hope you don’t get bored.

i don’t really care.
