finally.

i was beginning to think that it was never going to rain again. the grass in my yard is brown and crunchy - i haven’t cut it in over a month. trees are just dying. lakes and rivers are drying up. i reckon it’s the drought we’re in.

but today

bless you, fay. the rain has set in and the daylight is dim and the constant white noise of the water falling is making all things green again. i grew up in a temperate rainforest, so the rain doesn’t bother me at all, but the great thing about being out and about today is seeing everybody else that was worried about everything drying up and blowing away breathing a big communal sigh into the cool wet atmosphere.
